Celebrating Women Creating Ripples of Impact Through B1G1
On International Women’s Day 2025, I had the honor of hosting a LinkedIn Live series featuring incredible women changemakers across the world. These women represent B1G1 Worthy Causes and their partners, whose mission, passion, and actions are creating ripples of life-changing impact.
As you listen to their stories, you’ll discover how their tireless efforts over the years have contributed to solving complex challenges, proving that small, purposeful actions can uplift lives and lead to real, lasting change.
These conversations not only shed light on their impactful work but also revealed something even more profound: their deeply personal journeys and the consistent theme of collective action through empathy.

The Power of Impact-Driven Women in Action
Each woman I spoke with is a testament to what happens when passion meets purpose — and purpose is translated into action to create impact.
And behind every project these women represent, there is a ripple effect of contributions made by B1G1 businesses. If you have been part of B1G1 over the years, this series of powerful stories gives you a real sense of the impact you’ve helped create.
No matter how small or large, every contribution truly makes a profound difference.
We hope that you’ll choose to share these stories with your family, friends, teams, and customers and explore new ways to take even greater action alongside these amazing women.
Enjoy watching!
Cassandra Treadwell – So They Can (New Zealand & East Africa)
“Would you become a mother to 45,000 children?”
Cassandra Treadwell, the founder of So They Can, didn’t expect to dedicate her life to education and community transformation in East Africa until her fourth child was just six months old. But today, her organization provides schooling and opportunities for 45,000 children across Kenya and Tanzania — because, as she so profoundly puts it, “every child deserves a future.”

“The Power Within: A Community-Based Solution to Orphan Care”
In rural Kenya, the HIV/AIDS crisis in the early 2000s left thousands of children orphaned. Consolata Nobert and her team at The Mango Tree Orphan Support Trust help these children not just survive, but thrive—reviving traditional practice of bee-keeping and tree-planting (and much more!) to support community practice of caregiving that ensures orphans are raised within extended families instead of institutions.
