As I write this post, our impact counter shows 100,116,667 impacts.
This is the result of thousands of businesses and individuals coming together in the last 10 years, sharing their effort and contributions.
To grasp what these 100 million impacts consist of, let me show you a quick summary of the collective achievements we made, and why these impacts really do matter.

EDUCATION
No matter how much we give, just providing ‘band-aid’ over the ‘wound’ alone may not solve real issues in the long run.
At B1G1, we believe that all forms of giving should come with a strategy to solve root causes. Introducing quality education empowers people in communities, so that they become the ones to solve future challenges and create long-term prosperity.
Fortunately, many businesses in B1G1 agree with this and have supported many of the Education projects.
ENVIRONMENT
Even if every person in the world had a ‘good life’, we would not be able to leave a legacy to our children and grandchildren if we did not take care of our natural resources.
We believe that helping to retain and restore the global eco-system is also an important responsibility we share.
Many B1G1 members choose to plant trees to protect the rainforest, and educate others about the importance of caring for our environment.
FOOD
If you have lived a life without really going hungry, you are one of the lucky ones.
For millions of people around the world, being hungry is an everyday challenge.
Sharing nourishing meals with people we love is central to creating a happy family life. If we are worried about barely surviving each day, how can we think about sending our children to school, or starting a business for long-term prosperity?
HEALTH
No matter how smart or rich you are, your life and its purpose cannot be fulfilled if you are not healthy.
We believe that we have the responsibility and capacity to help those who are weak or have special physical needs. Many major health issues can be prevented just by giving people access to simple things like clean water and sanitation.
INCOME GENERATION
Providing access to basic resources and education may set a child up to a good start. Even then, persistent poverty might hinder the potential of youths if they lack opportunities to gain life skills required for attaining income.
By giving special training and income generation tools, you can empower individuals to live even more fulfilling lives.
We often hear of how those who benefitted from the support received are in turn giving back to others.
SHELTER / LIFE ENHANCEMENT
So many people in this world do not even have a safe place to stay. Many end up homeless or orphaned.
There are many reasons why – natural disasters, epidemic diseases, social unrests….things which they have no control over.
In the B1G1 community, there are many who care about providing safety and comfort to those who are suffering. We are grateful for those who care to give others peace of mind, so that they can focus on making a real difference.
