Kakada's Story

Kakada used to be a performer at Phare, the Cambodian Circus.

He now works with the office operations team, controlling & managing all the activities in the Big Top.

Phare provides free performing arts training and education opportunities for disadvantaged children in Cambodia. This equips them with the skills to pursue a sustainable career as a performer, and even in management and operational roles.

When Kakada came to Phare, he was thankful for the opportunity to select what he wanted to learn & gain experience in.

As a performer, they work together as a team. Sometimes they have fights and disagreements, but they still love each other.

They live together and work together once Phare takes them in. Everybody becomes brothers and sisters. This closeness makes them happy.
