Time to Rise: Our 2025 Plans Together
As we welcome in a brand new year, it feels more important than ever to pause, reflect, and set the right focus for what lies ahead.
So today, I’m excited to announce some of the plans for this year in the B1G1 Community. And ahead of that, let me share with you the ‘Theme of the Year’ in B1G1 for 2025.
It’s Time to Rise.
I’ll explain more about it in just a moment.
First though, let me share with you some of the key plans and highlights for the year ahead. It’s a year in which we need your participation, your input and your engagement so that we make it a truly successful year for our collective advancement together.
Let’s start with this:
The Business for Good Global Conference 🎉
The first week of November in Bali, 2025.
Our Members right around the world have made it very very clear to us that they want this signature event back. Our Members still talk about B1G1’s Business for Good Conference as one of the most inspiring and impactful business events they’ve ever been to.
Starting in 2016 (it was in Bali as well), we hosted these special conferences every single year to bring together and recognise our Members until....the global pandemic stopped all our in-person event activities. Bringing back this signature event is a symbolic act to reinstate and recognise that real personal connection makes a huge and lasting impact. In many ways it’s the high-point of the B1G1 Membership Community.
The Conference is an event you can attend with your family and team members and know that every single one of you will be impacted in unique and profound ways. This is where we bring our greatest human spirit, where we discuss important ideas, share critical knowledge, make impactful commitment and create life-long friends and partners among the global B1G1 community.
You also get to connect with some of the B1G1 Worthy Causes and experience the real impacts of your giving as well.

Regional Connections
Australia, Great Britain and America
For those who have enjoyed the special in-person connections with other B1G1 Members in your city in 2024, we have good news: we are bringing back the regional connection events in your city again. Yes, Paul and I will be visiting various cities throughout 2025 .
Here are the visits that are already being scheduled:
February: Brisbane
March: Sydney and Melbourne
April: New York (and possibly other cities in America)
May: London (and other cities in Great Britain)
While we are in those cities, there will be some opportunities for you to host events for your clients or team, having the founders of B1G1 come and speak at your events. It will uplift your company’s position and leadership as a change-maker.

Your Impact Partnership Journey with B1G1
How you can become one and advance your impact.
After the really successful launch of the Impact Partnership program in November, we are working on recognizing and highlighting our Impact Partners even more this year. We’re committed to help more of our Members to set a meaningful impact target, implement the B1G1 program even more effectively and achieve extraordinary results.
This is fundamentally the most important shift we have made in the initiative to set a benchmark. Our benchmark is also unique because it recognizes the efforts of companies in all types of sizes and sets the advancement criteria with the retention of habitual giving behavior rather than based on the size of one-off activities.

Why ‘Time to Rise’ Matters Now
We live in an extraordinary time. The world faces immense challenges, but with that comes an even greater opportunity for businesses to step up and stand for something bigger. Creating positive impacts is everyone’s responsibility now.
For our team at B1G1, 2024 ended with a truly inspiring and meaningful experience: our very first global team offsite where all of us gathered in one place to complete our 2025 planning. But this wasn’t just about planning for the year; it was about connecting, aligning, and most importantly, rising together to create a better future.
The result? A clearer sense of purpose, energy and direction for all of us.. The pandemic made us become increasingly hesitant to make decisive decisions. But in one week of our team retreat, we overcame that decision paralysis. We decided that it was the right time to bring back the Business for Good Conference. We made a very decisive decision!
And during that week, we also announced our theme for 2025, Time to Rise. We recognised how powerful this idea is for our entire Membership Community as well as for our team.
As leaders and change-makers, we don’t have the luxury of time to be just talking about what we need or want to change.
It’s time for demonstrating positive actions.This mindset shift is what will drive results, create impact faster, and make our work and our lives much more meaningful.
It starts with you, me and us. It’s no longer just the Power of Small; it’s now the Power of ALL.
Your Call to Action: Set Your Focus and Plan Your Impact
As you begin the year, I encourage you to take a moment to reflect:
- What is your theme for this year? What is the one idea or mindset that will drive your business and your impact forward?
- What are your big rocks? What goals or priorities will make the greatest difference for you, your team, and the people you serve?
- What is your cadence? How will you move with clarity and speed while checking in regularly to stay on track? What adjustment will you make this year in your plan and meeting and project review cadence to achieve the right pace?
- How do you celebrate your wins? Making a positive difference in the world and uplifting others can be a great reward for you and your team. And you might even want to participate in the Business for Good Conference as the treat for your great development, for you and your team too.
