WHAT:Natural Chemist is Australia’s leading integrative pharmacy. We are conventional, complementary and caring. We do everything a conventional mainstream pharmacy does and we are also experts in complementary medicines. Our team includes pharmacists, naturopaths and nutritionists all working together on your individual health needs. Our mission is to build healthier lives through professional advice and proven medicines.
CAN YOU GIVE US A SENSE OF WHY YOU DECIDED TO START GIVING?
We are acutely aware of how fortunate we are to have been born into a wealthy country and we have always been looking for ways to give back. When we heard about B1G1, we realised it was a way for us to start giving immediately and not wait until we hit some arbitrary target to be able to help others.
WHAT ARE YOUR FAVOURITE PROJECTS TO GIVE TO AND WHY?
So far we’ve focused on providing life-saving clean water to families in Cambodia and in Africa, as well as grain seeds to nourish children in Africa. We took votes amongst the staff on which projects to support.
HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE THE IMPACT B1G1 HAS HAD ON YOUR COMPANY AND ITS CULTURE?
B1G1 has allowed us to make giving back a routine part of our daily operations, and it feels good. We were a startup business three years ago and we are growing very quickly. As our business grows so does our giving. Every time we ship an order to a customer we make a donation to B1G1 and include a note of appreciation to the customer. We will soon hit 500,000 giving impacts, which we are very proud of.
