KINDNESS: SIMPLY WHAT THE WORLD NEEDS
Today is WORLD KINDNESS DAY. A day to remember the power of kindness to create a kinder world.
The truth is: the world really needs increased kindness right now. In every way.
In just the past few months, we’ve seen natural disasters, signs of conflicts, and unresolved issues surfacing more than ever. So many people experienced loss of their homes and loved ones, and other long-standing issues.
World Kindness Day can be (and needs to be) more than a day to remember kindness. It needs to be a day when we put our kindness into tangible actions in as many ways as we can.
We can smile more, give kind words to each other, give what you have: whether it’s your time, money, skills or knowledge.
We see B1G1 as kindness in action every day and in every way. So, we’ve come up with a few additional opportunities you can be involved with over the next couple of months. Here’s how:
1: GET INVOLVED IN B1G1 X #GIVINGTUESDAY (28 NOV)
#GivingTuesday is a global movement where businesses spend a day collectively being more generous. Companies small and large come together to give more on this day.
But what if it was not only #GivingTUESDAY, but #GivingEVERYDAY?
We invite the B1G1 Business for Good Community to get involved in this year’s #GivingTuesday expressing that you give on #GivingTuesday to remember the power of generosity, but you are also committed to #GivingEveryday.
2: SHARE THE JOY OF GIVING: B1G1 GIVING GIFT CARD
B1G1 is all about finding every opportunity to give through the things you do, then spreading the spirit of giving. This year, we have another great way for you to do this – with your season’s greetings.
The amazing Tracey Keller has made special (and gorgeous) B1G1 gift cards, each carrying unique stories of giving. Now you can express your gratitude AND make a significant difference on someone else’s life at the same time.
On the back of the card is a QR code inviting the recipient to discover the impact they created by receiving the card. A ‘Giving Bee Card’ gives a pair of glasses. A ‘Loving Butterfly’ card gives school supplies to a child in Nepal, and ‘Joyful Dragonfly’ card gives a child in Cambodia access to fun school playground.

3: INSPIRE MORE BUSINESSES TO BECOME ‘BUSINESSES FOR GOOD’
There is now a brand new way you can invite others to join you in B1G1: Business for Good. And it’s really innovative too.
“12 Steps to Become a Business for Good” is an easy and interactive program your friends can sign up for for free to start the experience of becoming a giving business with B1G1. They can sample giving, learn from inspiring videos, and receive visual guides to really understand how they can implement giving in their business.
They can later upgrade to become official B1G1 Businesses at just the right time for them.
4: BEYOND THE GIVING SEASON…
Of course, by far the best way to create the most profound impact is to create a lasting HABIT of giving.
