Celebrating the spirit of B1G1’s coming of age — together.

In many cultures, turning 18 is more than a birthday — it’s a rite of passage, a moment of becoming. It marks the transition into adulthood, a time when ideals deepen, purpose strengthens, and the future opens wide with possibility.

And this June, B1G1 turned 18.

What began as a simple idea — that businesses can create a world full of giving — is now a global movement that’s touched (and continues to touch) millions of lives.

But more than anything, this milestone is not about us.
It’s about you — the Members, team members, Worthy Cause Partners and everyday people who brought the idea to life and walked with us through every season.

Growing Up, Together

Like any journey from infancy to adulthood, B1G1’s path hasn’t always been straight or easy. There have been moments of soul-searching, bold pivots, and challenges we couldn’t foresee. Our young, passionate team worked late into many nights. Members generously gave their time, feedback, ideas, and trust — especially when we needed it most.

Through it all, a global community formed. And today, that community has created over 374 million giving impacts — a number we could never have imagined back in 2007.

But beyond the numbers, there’s something deeper that holds us all together:
A shared belief that business can be a force for good, not just once, but every single day.

18 Words for 18 Years

To celebrate this moment, we wanted to do something a little different.
Rather than just running a campaign about us, we invited the community to make it about you.

We chose 18 words that reflect the spirit of these past 18 years and then asked our members and team to pick the one word that resonated most for them.

Then, we asked one simple question: Why does this word matter to you in your B1G1 journey?

The result?
A beautiful wave of stories, reflections and joy flowing from members across the world.
