THE WAY THIS BUSINESS GIVES BACK IS MUSIC TO OUR EARS

Giving without expectation, that’s what it’s all about.

And that’s exactly how Welcome to Music founders Phil and Susie Splitter describe what giving means to them because it’s truly a defining part of who they are. The Splitters are driven by a mission to give back, and they believe they do this through their business by making music accessible to children. But that’s just a part of it. The revenue from that business also provides the resources they need to be able to give to so many more.

Every month, the Splitters choose from Buy1GIVE1’s 800+ projects around the world to give to, and their selected projects are usually related to education or music. “It just made sense for us to give to those we felt an alliance with, a connection with,” said Phil.

To date, they have created 8,824 giving impacts. Those impacts include 2,560 learning tools for children with special needs, 1,440 books and 940 education programs for disadvantaged children.

And they were able to create these impacts because of the success of their first passion, musical education.

The Splitters began writing music together more than 20 years ago, and today they have a thriving business teaching music to children and teaching educators how to integrate musical education in the classroom. Nothing brings them greater joy than sharing the gift of music, and now they are able to share that gift with their own students while reaching children around the world.

“This is about inspiring the children through music and movement and that’s what it’s all about,” said Susie. “There’s no human being in the world who can’t love music, who can’t have so much joy through music, so that’s my mission it’s simple, to enrich lives, through enjoying music.”
