This practice is becoming more and more popular for B2C businesses. BUT IT ALSO HAS MASSIVE POTENTIAL FOR B2B BUSINESSES.
One B2B organization, the Small Business Alliance has beautifully integrated one for one by taking advantage of the B1G1 business giving program.
“For me, business should be about making a difference and doing good,” says SBA founder Brenda Thomson. Today, the SBA is an invitation-only group of small businesses that get together and help each other develop shared goals and insights. For each new member that gets accepted, something special happens.
“It’s been really a core part of how I drive my business,” says Brenda.
“For every single member, because I have a philosophy of business for business, we fund a trust fund to help establish a business for a woman in Malawi.
Brenda’s goal is to have 150,000 members by 2025. This would equate to 150,000 micro loans through Micro Loan Foundation Australia. The idea is that those 150,000 micro loans will eventually get repaid and recycled to launch even more small businesses off the ground.
This is just one example of how a B2B business has integrated B1G1 giving into their everyday business transactions. But it’s indeed a powerful one.
