Inspire Accountants: A Stunning Example of What’s Possible

“Eye-popping!”

That’s a great way of expressing how we felt after our recent visit to Inspire (an Accounting firm in Brisbane).

Since joining the B1G1 movement in 2013, Inspire has not only grown exponentially, but has also seamlessly woven the spirit of giving into its very fabric. This transformation shows us all what businesses can achieve when they prioritize positive change alongside their professional pursuits.

The team at Inspire has seamlessly woven the spirit of giving into its very fabric.

Purposeful Accounting Firm

Upon arrival, Paul and I were immediately struck by the vibrant energy permeating Inspire's office. It was evident that this wasn't just any accounting firm; it was a place where the principles of giving and social impact were not only discussed, but actively implemented. The atmosphere buzzed with enthusiasm, creativity, and a palpable sense of purpose.

The true testament to Inspire’s commitment was captured beautifully in a video we filmed during our visit (It was a full 30-minutes of film, but we’ve condensed it for you here). It shows how giving has been creatively integrated into client milestones, turning every achievement into an opportunity to make a global impact. The team members at Inspire are not mere spectators in this process; they are champions of the giving spirit, actively engaging in the selection of impacts and expressing gratitude to their clients for their contributions.

The key to attracting and nurturing top talent

One of the most heartening aspects of our visit was hearing stories from the team members themselves. For instance, Roze, featured in our video interview, shared her journey of joining Inspire. She was drawn to the firm, not just for its professional reputation, but for its giving campaign. This unique value proposition has not only attracted top talent but has also fostered a culture of loyalty and engagement—a rarity in today's competitive job market.

Inspire's approach to integrating giving into its business model is both innovative and effective. By linking client achievements with global impacts, they create a powerful narrative that resonates with both their team as well as their clients. This strategy has resulted in over 9 million impacts to date, a staggering number that highlights the cumulative power of small, consistent acts of giving.

To provide a clearer picture, here are some specific impacts Inspire has achieved:

  • Providing clean drinking water to communities in need;
  • Supporting educational programs for underprivileged children;
  • Funding life-saving medical treatments and healthcare;
  • Contributing to environmental conservation projects;

Each of these impacts represents a milestone, not just for the recipients, but also for Inspire and its clients, who can see the tangible difference their work is making in the world. This model of giving transforms ordinary business transactions into extraordinary acts of kindness and generosity.

Under CEO Ben Walker's guidance, Inspire has cultivated an environment where employees feel motivated and valued.

Ben Walker, the visionary CEO

Ben Walker, the founder and CEO of Inspire, deserves immense credit for his visionary leadership. Under his guidance, Inspire has not only doubled its team in a short period, but has also cultivated an environment where employees feel motivated and valued. This is particularly noteworthy in an industry often perceived as mundane or monotonous. Inspire has shattered this stereotype by infusing its operations with energy, creativity, and a genuine commitment to making a difference.

Our visit to Inspire was a profound reminder of the potential businesses have to create positive change. By aligning their operations with the values of giving and social impact, companies like Inspire are setting a new standard for success. They are proving that it is possible to achieve prosperity, while simultaneously uplifting communities around the world.

Business for Good is Great for Business

We are deeply grateful to Ben Walker and the entire Inspire team for their hospitality and for sharing their incredible journey with us.

Their story is a powerful example of what can be achieved when businesses embrace the philosophy of giving. It is our hope that more companies will be inspired by their example and join the B1G1 movement, creating a ripple effect of positive change that extends far beyond the confines of their own operations.

Together, we can redefine success, not just by the profits we make, but by the positive changes we inspire in the world around us.

And doing good with a genuine care for the world is great for the bottom line as well!
