BRIGHTSIDE DENTAL – TRANSFORMATIONAL CARE, TRANSFORMATIONAL GIVING
Dr. Ketan Shah at Brightside Dental has given us Reason #36 to become a B1G1 Business Partner. “I’ve had a number of applicants for positions in our company mention that our involvement in a program of giving is one of the reasons they wanted to join us, Ketan said,
“We’re seen as a group of health professionals who care, and that reputation is attracting like-minded people to our practice.”
Dr. Shah runs the clinic in Bounds Green, where they’re also known as North London’s ‘Life Transformational Dentists’ – providing pain-free dental care for busy people. He shares with us,
“I heard B1G1 Chairman Paul Dunn speak and also met him at a conference for dentists a few years ago. Paul’s talk was amazing and had a big impact on me. I signed up as a B1G1 Business partner that same day!”
“At the time we were already making donations to charity, but B1G1 felt like a better way to help others, and it makes it much easier for us and our clients to understand where the money goes.”
Since that day in January 2012, the Brightside Dental team has been contributing to help a variety of causes every month. They sponsor children, provide school supplies and help build homes through B1G1. Significantly, like many B1G1 Partners, the team members decide on the projects to support, making contributions for each new client they see, all hygiene bookings, certain other treatments, and for those who sign up to their membership club.
They always aim to see their clients on time, but promise that for every 10 minutes they keep clients waiting past their advised appointment, they’ll give to a B1G1 project.
The team spread their giving superbly. For example, with each Diamond Polish carried out with the hygienist at Brightside, 5 children in Nepal receive school supplies for a month, a Pearl Polish helps 5 more children with their monthly school needs and a Crystal Polish enables one child in Nepal to have everything needed for his or her studies for a month. And each polish also helps provide shelter for families in India too.
The dental pros at Brightside Dental like to share the joy of giving with their patients as well. “We’ve had great feedback from our clients about our involvement,” Dr. Shah told us. “I saw a new client recently and presented her a B1G1 Certificate of Appreciation for choosing us. She was amazed that a dental practice would do this.”
