CAN YOU GIVE US A SENSE OF WHY YOU DECIDED TO START GIVING?
We believe that there are people around the world who are born into unfortunate situations and we want to do our little bit to help. Since we started almost 20 years ago, we’ve generated over £1m of giving through our client events. This is traditionally from fewer larger donations.
WHAT ARE YOUR FAVOURITE PROJECTS TO GIVE TO AND WHY?
We like all truly life-changing projects, from building educational facilities to help children find a way out the poverty cycle, to making drugs available that save and transform lives in the long term.
HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE THE IMPACT B1G1 HAS HAD ON YOUR COMPANY AND ITS CULTURE?
The feeling of giving to those in need is motivational and inspiring. It gives us focus to be the best in our own field and to make daily positive life choices that benefit the wider community and environment in a positive way.
We also wanted to enable our clients on smaller events an opportunity to be involved in meaningful giving too. Through B1G1 our clients have generated over 1 million positive impacts and counting!
WHAT’S THE BEST EXPERIENCE YOU’VE HAD THROUGH YOUR GIVING ACTIVITIES AND BEING A PART OF B1G1?
Working with our client Facebook, we inspired teams to generate enough impacts to build a whole school building.

The Goodwill Quest is a common way of promoting giving within a team building event we run for clients. With the Goodwill quest, teams embark upon an adventure around their local environment. On reaching mystery locations, our App pops up with a team challenge relating to a good cause. On successful completion of that challenge, rather than points teams are awarded with impacts. At the end of the event, we summarise a winning team who have generated the most impacts, but of course, ends by showing the whole group what they have achieved together.
We use B1G1 with other events too, often as a bolt-on option, converting points earned in a team building activity to impacts.
